This edition features Finn’s Cup, Tryouts Save the Date, Summer Camps, Spring Events, Kings Hammer Family Night at FCC, KHM Night at Champy’s, Adult Brewery Cup Series, Team Achievements and more! Finn’s Cup
Come join the Kings Hammer Murfreesboro family on Friday, May 5th as we begin a new tradition! Finn’s Cup (formerly Clash of the Titans) will see the staff of Kings Hammer Murfreesboro face off with the staff of Wilson United in this charity match honoring the memory of Finn Gobelet.
Tickets are $20 for adults and free for children 18 and under, with all proceeds being donated to the ‘Forever 22 Scholarship’ created by Kings Hammer Murfreesboro in Finn Gobelet’s memory. The match will take place at Richard Siegel Soccer Complex in the Championship Stadium at 7:30pm. We hope to see you on May 5th!

Spring Events
If you are looking to watch some free and fun soccer this Spring, look no further! We bring back the Bash in the Boro & new for 2023 is our Orion Cup. Both events are for boys & girls U8-U19 teams, so come out and support our local teams. We are always needing volunteers these weekends as well. A fantastic night of fun as the spring season for Kings Hammer Murfreesboro TOPS soccer got underway kicked-off this past weekend.

March Education: Integrity
As we have highlighted in numerous presentations for our high school age group parents, coaches, and players, nearly 95% of youth sport athletes nationally WILL NOT go on to get a college scholarship, and fewer than 30% will even play in college. So, what are, or what should be, our long-term hopes for our children participating in youth sports? Physical development and fitness are certainly key elements. Confidence and social interaction can be included as well. One critical element, often overlooked, is INTEGRITY. The quote below from billionaire businessman Warren Buffet provides insight into the importance of this value.
“We look for three things when we hire people. We look for intelligence, we look for initiative or energy, and we look for integrity. And if they don’t have the latter, the first two will kill you, because if you’re going to get someone without integrity, you want them lazy and dumb. I mean, you don’t want a spark of energy out of them.”
As one of the Kings Hammer values, it is important that everyone has a better understanding of the word and our role in supporting it with our players, our teams, and our club.
So, what is INTEGRITY? And what can coaches, parents, and players do to promote and foster it?
Integrity-
- the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness.
- Similar: honesty, honor, good character, principle(s), ethics, morals, virtue, decency, fairness, sincerity, truthfulness, trustworthiness
- the state of being whole and undivided.
- Similar: unity, wholeness, cohesion
